Quiet Reading Time

Today was our first day of quiet reading time. Students read sight word books from their reading boxes, pointing to the words with their "reading fingers" as they read. When they came to tricky words, they practiced using picture clues and beginning letters to help them figure out the words! So proud of them! We will be doing this daily after recess. Just like basketball players, readers need daily practice to become great!
