About the Teachers

Mrs. Glasgo and Mrs. Vazquez are looking forward to a fantastic kindergarten year filled with learning and lots of fun!  We are thrilled to be working together and making this an amazing year for our students!  Mrs. Glasgo will be teaching on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and Mrs. Vazquez will be teaching on Fridays.   We feel lucky to balance our time between two things we love: teaching and raising our families. We look forward to meeting all of our new students and getting to know their families.

Mrs. Glasgo

This is my 12th year teaching and my 10th year teaching at Vallemar School.  I love my job and feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to teach at such a fantastic school in the town where I grew up.  I attended The Alternative School (now Ocean Shore) from Kindergarten through 8th Grade.  From there I attended Saint Ignatius College Prep in San Francisco and went on to receive a B.A. in Psychology and Philosophy at U.C. Davis.  I then worked for a year at Star Academy in Marin, a fantastic school for children with multiple and complex learning differences.  While going to school for my teaching credential & Master's degree at USF, I completed student teaching in (and substitute taught) both Millbrae and Pacifica.  When I'm not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with family, running, hiking, camping, gardening, cooking, baking, and going to Giants' Games.  My husband and I have two young children, Ryan (3) and Emilie (2).

Mrs. Vazquez

I grew up in Southern California about a mile from Disneyland. I attended UC Santa Barbara for my undergraduate degree and teaching credential/master's program. My husband and I met at UCSB and then moved north after we finished school. I have been teaching at Vallemar ever since! Over the past 18 years here, I have taught many grade levels. The last several years I have taught 1st grade, and this is my 3rd year teaching Kindergarten. I'm a proud Vallemar parent of a 5th and 7th grader as well. I'm also excited to be a part of the Vallemar PTO Board again this year.  I love reading children's literature, running with friends, playing games with my kids, cooking yummy food, and eating sushi with my family.
