A few reminders:

1.   Lemo's Farm permission slips and donations due ASAP, but no later than THIS WEDNESDAY! Cost $12 per child and $3 per adult.  Donations can be made in cash or payable to Vallemar PTO to help off-set the cost of the field trip. This is a super fun field trip which includes a pony ride, hay ride, train ride, jumpy house, petting zoo, and a pumpkin!  We would love it if you can join us.  To sign up to drive & chaperone, please CLICK HERE.

  • Math: Calendar Math: Counting to 30, counting by 10's, ID 2D & 3D shapes, ID colors, days of the week, patterning, days in school/beginning place value. We are practicing sorting by color, shape, and size, counting 0-5 objects, writing numbers 0-5.
  • Language Arts: In Writers Workshop we are drawing pictures and adding details and labels to tell a story. We have been working on independence and writing stamina.  In Reading, we apply our reading superpowers to the stories we read (prediction, connection, retell, reread, visualize, problem/solution). Mrs. Glasgo is working on making class capes for our superheroes!  We have been learning the following sight words: a, the, I, see.  This week we are learning the sight word: my.
